My tomatoes are a bust, but so what? I am drowning in cucumbers. Garden update ~ Scorching June

It really could have been the best garden ever, but alas, I have fallen short again. The biggest disappointment was that the potatoes in the PVC containers didn’t form, that experiment failed. So did the onions in containers. I think I planted too many in the same pot, so they stayed small. The leaves have wilted to nothing, so I am harvesting “pearl” sized onions, More

Garden Update ~ Spring in the garden

April was just such a hectic month around here that I barely had time to get the garden going, but not to write about it.  First, the last of the winter garden has been harvested, processed and eaten.
